Sounds like a very poor Victorian Novella!

Last night was promised clear but my data captured on the tadpoles from 8.30 to around 11.30 pm is virtually worthless due to a high haze. I was about to throw in the towel and tear down when the haze thinned a bit so I went for the whale. Its not great as there was still some haze as can be seen around the bright stars and I think the haze is why I've got so litte of the "tidal tail" on the crobar. But at least I got some more time on the new camera.

Well David, I'm certainly no expert, but I think that's a great image! The detail in NGC4631 is really nice, as well as the colors. All in all; I think you're being too hard on yourself...

Nice you have some clear skies and that the camera is working well for you too!
