M1 Crab nebula

#1

Post by Gordon »

A couple nights ago I was testing to see if I had fixed my auto focuser. So I pointed to M1 the Crab Nebula to give it a try. Something still wasn’t right and after messing with it, I got as close to focus as I could. (Turns out it was a bad solder connection). Anyway here’s what I captured. Just 6 frames with my ZWO ASI533mc-Pro/EQ6g/ES80ed-cf/guided. 120 sec frames 200 gain.
Stacked with DSS. Processed with StarTools/PS.

You got that from just 12 minutes!

Nice image Gordon. Glad you got your focuser fixed. I would love to see what you could get from an allnighter!

Regards

Graeme
