Final Rosette -SHO

Finally got more time on the Rosette nebula and think I've decided to wrap this project for this season. This final image is a record for me 10.5 hours total .

As @Steve333 mentioned in another post, it's really amazing how many different looks and "stories" you can tell with this object depending on the way you process it. I'll definitely be going back to this data set again and again to play with different post processing techniques once June gloom hits the southland.

So here's the "final" version... went for a dramatic presentation. 126 frames @ 300s, 300 gain.

Scopes: Esprit 100, 12.5" Telekit Dob
Camera: 294 MC Pro, 224 mc, 2600mm
Guiding: ZWO 290 mini on 120mm guide scope
Mounts: EQ6R-Pro, EQ Platform.
Filters: Optolong L-Pro & L-Enhance, Chroma 36mm LRGB, 5nm HA, 3nm OIII, 3nm SII.
Software: SharpCap, SGP, StarTools 1.7, Photoshop, Pixinsight

That's a very nice processing Job. Wonderful details along with the lovely colors. Really well done.

I need to capture some Sii data to see if it will help mine.

Thanks, Steve. For what it's worth, when I was processing this I bumped the SI color contribution in StarTools. The SI signal is what's contributing most of the bright golden highlights in the image.

Thanks for the tip. Now I'm really motivated to try and get some Sii data. If I don't get it pretty soon I'll have to wait till next year!

Your Rosette is beautiful and strikes my tastes perfectly!

I really like everything about this image. The 10.5 hours really paid off. Excellent work!
