The skies cleared for the first time in a month. Seeing and transparency was the best I've seen here in a very long time.

45x300 HA 30x300 S2 ASI1600MM ZWO 7nm filters

Unfortunately Propus cast a HUGE halo with both my filters and ruined the shot so I clone stamped it out.

Nothing a little cloning can't fix.

Beautiful capture. I would never have guessed if you hadn't mentioned the halo.

Thanks... the halo was huge and can still be seen. Not sure if I want to try and process it further.

That is a fine image Steve!

You really did a fine job with the clone stamp tool. I really cannot see the halo remnants at all! Nice work! We have some amazing tools at our disposal for sure!

Wow, a month of clouds for you. I thought that you had the finest skies, but I guess that everyone has their turn at crappy skies. Glad to see you back out imaging and submitting your work.

We get lake effect clouds with the cold air that comes across the Great Lakes when the wind comes out of the N-NW. Sometimes we miss the clear skies by 20 miles to our West, all depending on the wind. In a normal winter, the lake would be frozen by now but recent years the trend has been for Lake Erie not to freeze over.

November brought an almost 3 week stretch of clear skies and we've been paying for it ever since.
