M76: The Little Dumbbell in H-alpha
A beauty of a gem , M76 The Little Dumbbell, is one the faintest objects in the Messier catalogue with an apparent magnitude of only 10.1. Classified as a bipolar planetary nebula, this DSO holds a lot of mystery despite being only 2500 light years away.
This is step one towards a SHO palette, M76 already shoes some great detail inH-alpha . Taken with a ZWO ASI294mm and a Chroma 5nm Ha filter on a C11" EdgeHD @f/ 10. This is 4.8 hours of 300s guided subs. Both OIII and SII will be added as weather permits.
This is step one towards a SHO palette, M76 already shoes some great detail in

Re: M76: The Little Dumbbell in H-alpha
Thanks for the kind words!
The 294MM is turning out to be a very good camera. It is an upgrade over the 1600MM but I know many are waiting for the 2600MM to come out, supposedly early next year. How are you liking the 294MM?
