Well, you got to start somewhere and it is a twofer. Both
NGC 1 and 2 in close proximity in the sky but a 100 million light year apart. Actually both are 2-300 mly away, definitely small targets. Easy to fined in the sky, just inside the Great Square, near Alpha And. Bright rising moon caused all sorts of grief in processing, especially with the air being soupy and some hi-cirrus, seeing OK, temp near freezing and no wind. But, had to get out, been a month of lousy skies.
Specifics; Meade 16 LX200 at f6.2 with Starizona reducer, Atik 460ex mono 9/5 min lum, 2/5min
RGB all binned 2x2 for 0.7"/pixel at 2500mm efl.
OAG w/QHY5L-II mono at 2 sec rate. Captured and stacked in Nebulosity post in
PS CS5, final image full size about 50% crop.
