Finally back!! M42 in HA, M45 in L

Post by DMouse »

Hi, well after seven weeks of tearing down the astro shed and rebuilding it, I am finally back in operation. Tonight was a test after finishing installing my astro gear back in the shed today. It's been a monumental rebuild, with lots of mods to give me a cleaner better shed enviroment. From power and data in the walls, insulated walls and all cables routed in conduit, so I have a very neat setup.
Anyway, here is tonights test with the FSQ106. I hope to test the 12 inch RC this weekend but wanted to start light to make sure all was good. I got my polar alignment down to 0 deg MA and ME. Also the aspect of the stars was coming in at below 10 and some as low a 4%!!! Very happy with that.
So here is M45 and M42, both 7x 300sec exposures. M42 in HA and M45 in Luminance only. Bias, Dark and Flats all applied in PI.

Clear skies

Paul
