M42 WIP 2020

#1

Post by Astrovetteman »

Here's my first installment for 2020 of M42. Last night was WINDY, guiding was all over the place, and I didn't think I'd get anything worth processing....but I did it anyway. This is only 15 each RGB @180s with the NP127/ASI6200 and 45 L with the TV-85/QHY16200A. I was going to get some NB tonight...forecast for clear skies and no wind...ALAS...CLOUDS rolled in right after I got the scope polar aligned....RATS!!! Tomorrow is another day.
Hope ya like it, so far!

That's looking gorgeous Tom. Just the right amount of dust, and, the colors are sooooooo rich. I would be happy with this as a final version.

Cheers,

Hi Tom. A beautiful M42 image in RGB, despite the winds. Excellent contrast, beautiful reflection and emission nebulosity colors, and the dark intersteller dust clouds. Thanks for sharing this wonderful capture with us on here Tom, and congratulations on winning the TSS APOD Award today.
