AP Processing Challenge

Late season Lagoon

Finally got around to processing this image from around the last full moon. I was busy playing with SGP and had an hour to capture M8 while it cleared my neighbor's house and before it got blocked by some trees. I wasn't expecting much but was really impressed by what this L-Enhance filter can do on the right target. I still struggle with the color processing in StarTools, but did like the look of this, especially for just an hour of data. 15 subs @ 240s.

Beautiful image especially for only an hour of data! Really nice and bright with good detail. Fine work!

Yes, the L-Enhance is pretty amazing. My skies are pretty trashed tonight with lp, but I can see a decent amount of nebulosity shooting subs of the Pacman with the L-Enhance.

I have seen a lot of images for M8 and done a few myself. Still, I was quite surprised to see how good yours is, especially so late in the season. Very nicely done. And I actually like the color. Your image has a "faux-NB" look to it.
