I managed to use the first 2 hours of images consigning FIVE HOURS to the bin :twitch: So its really a bit noisier than I had hoped for.

Thanks Jim!Juno16 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 11:09 am Very nice David!
I am with you on the clear skies (or lack of). I have a good opportunity this week with the sky, but the moon is at its worst. I just got the L Enhance in yesterday and I might take it out for a spin tonight with I believe is a 97% moon.
Got lots of things to learn with the new equipment, so why not try if for nothing else the excercise!
You captured some great nebulosity in your image! I was thinking about the Pacman. We will see.
Thanks Steve. Yes I'm looking at the lens and while its not too bad it would probably benefit from a clean but I'm not even sure if the dew shield comes of the Skywatcher 80ED and i'm reluctant to try anything in case it damages something. I'll contact my dealer I think and ask.STEVE333 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 3:09 am Pretty nice for only 2 hours of data. I feel your pain with the lost data because of the dew heaters. I recently did the same and had to learn how to take the dew shield off so I could clean the lens the next day. Running two rigs at the same time takes even more concentration. I'm impressed. It takes all my concentration to get my one rig up and running correctly.
Cheers,
Steve

On the backend of my dew shield there is what looks like a decorative bevel. It turns out that that bevel is actually a collar that screws into the back end of the dew shield. When I unscrewed the collar the dew shield slid right off. Not sure if yours is the same.
Good luck.
Steve
