M27 a diamond in the rough :D

Decided to poke around in the data I had captured last Friday 09-04-2020. It was not the best of conditions but it was better than it has been in two months!

Anyhow I thought M27 is almost a perfect target for the duo band filer and decided to have a look at it. The look was promising and decided to process it.

Short set of data 10 x 300 sec frames, full moon, piss poor transparency, but still somehow pulled this out

Man I cant wait for better conditions

Glad to hear conditions are looking better for you. I've had the same experience. One 8 clear nights in total from Oct 1,2019 to Sept 1, 2020 and then things started to improve ... a little.

Babo, unfortunately conditions are not really getting any better it was just one murky moonlit night. It immediately returned to the same ole dull overcast the following day wit no apparent end in sight.

I think I have a total of 8 'clear' nights so far this year, since January! Only had 2 consecutive nights one time. All the other nights have been weeks / months apart!

Hello Tom. I know that you have the same high humidity that I have here and also the large waning gibbous moon to work around is tough. But you still came away with a beautiful M27 (Dumbbell Nebula).
