Western Veil_ASI294+ L-enhance

#1

Post by MariusD69 »

Hello!

A target captured during three nights, with total exposure of 9 hours and 25 minutes ( 30x10m + 53x5m). Last night I had a thin layer of clouds ( and high humidity ), so I get an halo around 52 Cyg. I didn't obtain the same colors as I had at Eastern Veil- probably because the background is mixed with more nebulosity.

Clear skies!

Incredible image Marius... I've never spent more than 2hrs on it. I should revisit and give it some more time.

A wonderful image. Everything is in equilibrium. I love the composition, choice of palette and how the relative weights of the star field and nebulousity are beautifully balanced. The diamond riding the crest of the explosion is just magnificent.

yeah, that sums up my own opinion on this excellent image.

And what surprises me most is that you have a rather modest mount... Kind of contrary all the usual advice the experts give.
