Hello!

Sunday night, after the capture of M16, the moonlight was too bright, so I wanted to try something quick and easy. I tried M27, a target that I prefer to capture with planetary cameras. The exposure was the same- 130 frames of 30 seconds.

Any reason you keep the exposures so short? I can see that it is nice for the star colors (avoids saturated stars).

[mention]STEVE333[/mention] It was an experiment. I could have tried longer subs with more attention to the core of the nebula. It's one of the brightest and I could lost the detail of the red emission nebula. Maybe it needs a HDR approach.

Thanks for the info Marius. Most DSO exposures are measured in minutes not seconds, and, I was surprised to see the lovely details you were able to capture with the short exposures. Look forward to your next image(s).

I've always been in love with this nebula. Well, ever since I discovered it with my binoculars, when I was twelve.
