ok this is my final, this was the detail i was ment to bring out from my first set but couldn't figure out how .

The nii and oiii seem to show the most detail from just the spectrum itself ,the oiii shows a lovely radial like spikes and the nii shows more detail in knots over the usual ha data, maybe some day i'll buy a hii helium filter which should bring out more detail in the very center of the planetary nebula .

Well, now isn't that just wonderful. The structural detail smacks you in the eye.

Excellent image of Helix, Yobbo. This DSO is a real toughie here at 40 degrees north and sits very low on the southern horizon. Plus the low surface luminosity and lack of contrast makes it even more difficult. From your southern climes there in Brisbane Helix probably sits pretty low on your northern horizon too,

I really like the "real coloration" and the smoothness of the nebula and you captured the delicate out-lying nebulaic part of Helix as well.

This has been a (failed) target of mine for the last two years. I've attempted to image Helix usually in early Fall when drier, cooler more transparent air moves in from time to time here in central Illinois.

I am fortunate enough to have almost a clear view of this target from east to west , a good 4-5 hrs imaging per night, given that i start once it gets above my house . it rises from 110 deg (east = 90deg) and passes overhead in the general area off zenith.

I am currently working on two harder targets that i only get a couple of hours each, dumbbell which sits towards north and it peaks at 40 deg up but i can't image it until it hits west a bit at 30-35 deg high, the tarantula nebula is on the south end with a simular approach for me i get about and hr and a half to image it .

I would love to do a nice 4 panel mosiac of the tarantula but i don't get enough sky time in that direction, for now i'll image the center , a facinating target, i belive that it is the biggest nebula that isn't in our galaxy ,it's a part of the lmc neighbour .

Well done. I love this target too. When it is in view, I only have eyes on target for about two hours. You've done a nice job with it.

Nice job of capturing those "radial spikes" along with the faint outer Red "halo". A very nice capture.
