had i used the title (ngc 6563 with a one shot camera) you'll probably believe me
I found this little hidden gem on stellerium and gave it a go ,pretty happy with the results , not much detail in the nii band,oh well.
I didn't use any flats ,they need to be redone and actualy they make my images worst atm . i can almost getaway without having them, there's some hot pixels in there, sorry , there wasn't alot of frames to work with or frequent dithers .
there's another target in the frame awsell, i'll let you guys/gals spot it out . i'll come back later with a plate solve, i actualy don't know what it is but it's in there .

I also found the blue disk last night and was so intrigued that I went and did the plate solve (at astrometry.net) on your image (hope you don't mind) and the blue disk does not show as any type of object. My guess is that it is some kind of artifact or other kind of flaw.
Cheers, it's in all filters, I'll image the same spot again but at a different frame position to cancel out any possible internal reflections. But even with the small dither each frame is spot on, maybe the solve didn't pick it up?

yep, it's gota be an object,i imaged the same place again but on the meridian flip this time with ngc 6563 centerd in frame then i made another run with ngc 6563 on the very edge off the cmos chip and the blue oval object messure exactly the same distance to it's nearest star next to it .
i can upload my raw files if anyone wants to have a look .

I want answers hah, what other test could i do to find out that this isn't an artifact ?, maybe i could rent an online scope and check this spot out with a longer fl .
