Reprocessed some year old data

#1

Post by jazzin »

With all the cloudy and rainy weather we have been having this past month and bc it's been over a month now since I have been able to do any imaging, I took the opportunity today to reprocess my Eagle Nebula data from 2019. It's always fun to go back and reprocess old data and see how much your processing skills have improved. I think I like the way this came out better than the one I did last year and have on my flickr page.

I did use Blink in PixInsight to review the subs I had and did throw a couple away. Can't remember what I did last year but I assume I just used all the subs.

You got some nice colors and the Pillars are clearly visible. Well done.

The stars look a bit strange - kind of cone shaped. Maybe a tracking/guiding thing?

They are but thats bc of the scope i was using to capture it. I used the Celestron 6” Newtonian reflector which has an 1.25” focuser and all the correctors are 2”. Thats why the stars are egg shaped
