Reprocessed M27 with a Twist

#1

Post by umasscrew39 »

I reprocessed my previously posted M27 which was the green/red version using the L-eNhance duo (Ha and OIII) band filter. This time I extracted the red channel which primarily is Ha data and made it the luminance channel, doing sharpening and noise reduction as appropriate. Then, the RGB channels were each stretched and recombined with the luminance as LRGB. The result is this blue/red version which I think I like a little better.

Nice job Bruce. I like the colors too. Some nice internal details with your closeup view.
