lagoon nebula ha-sii,nii,oiii

Here is my 2 panel mosaic of m8 aka the lagoon nebula , the hard part about this target is getting the bright core balanced, i was planing to do some hdr to it but wasn't too sure on what exposures i need, ie the frames i used are 10 mins long and i wasn't too sure if i would benifit with 5 mins for the core or 30 seconds , ive done hdr stacking before but with terrible results so i didn't bother .

i also would like to learn some pixel maths and combine the ha and nii together, maybe in the future i'll will revisit this data,i'll probably upload it in the contest section so everyone can have a play ,enjoye.

cheers all, i did check out the painter william turner , yes the image does resemble his style of art , a very smooth light but chaotic appeal , i guess i'll do a repo and put a ship in this space lagoon ! hahah

Its a very beautiful image but I would have never have guessed that it is M8, the Lagoon nebula, and I have viewed it numerous times through a eyepiece.
