This is a large amount of time for a bright globular (6.45 hrs), but I wanted enough depth to catch some of the background galaxies. Also, I have offset M92 (aka
NGC 6341) in the composition in order to pick up four fairly notable galaxies to the west (right) of M92. They are
IC 4645 (dist unk); PGC59931 (dist unk); PGC 59938 (dist 396 mly); and PGC59984 (dist 363 mly).
There are several other background galaxies - some of which are in the annotated image. In addition, there are other visually apparent background galaxies (in the full size image) that are only cataloged in UV and IR surveys (if cataloged at all). I even got a couple of mid distance Quasars in the field.
Image and details can be accessed at the link below (or by clicking on the M92 thumbnail image); full size image can be accessed from the image webpage and has an image scale of 0.81 arcsec/pixel. The annotated image link is provided below, but that can also be accessed from the image webpage.
