Jim, that is stunning! You're right, the FF makes a huge difference for sure! Love the detail you got out of it; so "underblown", at least to me. And Andrey's right, nice one on the galaxy too! Read your post last night, you got a lot of things solved. Amazing what a walk can do...

BTW, found another T3 on a local buy & sell, $120. Now all I have to do is get the lad to find some time to sell it to me...

All the best and looking forward to your next target,
Mark

Thank you sir!

Yes, NGC 6207 does show some nice details which is an unexpected surprise. I still can’t get over IC 4617 (just barely shows up closer to the glob) at 503 MLY distant! Mind blowing!

Thank you Mark! Yes, the Stellarview FF/FR is a perfect fit for my setup.

True, if the little tidbit related to the change in my scope focal length (due to the FR) hadn’t popped into my head during the walk, I wouldn’t have “solved” anything (plate solved that is).

Great to hear about the camera! You sure enjoyed the last T3 you had! Looking forward to your upcoming images!

Beauty Steve - Can't wait to see how applying Kathy's suggestions works for you.

There is a series of 6 tutorials on using Photoshop to process astrophotography images by Doug German (link below) that you might find useful.

I appreciate it Steve! This is the lagniappe image!

I have somewhat of a busy weekend, but last night I did apply a quick sharpening to only the glob. Unbelievable difference in just that one click. The stars in the glob just popped! A big increase in definition. Toning down the core will be more challenging.

Thanks a bunch for the link and your nice words! I will eagerly look at this tutorial next week!

Jim

Very nice image! I wouldn't worry about it being too blue at all. When I saw M13 through a 1 meter scope I was shocked at how blue it was. Those horizontal branch stars really blue it up, if you'll pardon the almost inadvertent pun.

Sorry to prattle on about that old visual experience. I'm starting to repeat myself like Polonius......

Thank you nFA!

I imagine the view through a one meter scope was spectacular!

I appreciate the inadvertent pun! That past visual experience is a memory that you will always appreciate.

Thanks for sharing your “views”.
