The Orion nebula (January 2020)

#1

Post by JohnP_1 »

I have been wanting to re-take the Orion nebula from scratch for a few months. This time I dialed in the focus to the best I've ever had on this nebula.

I typically have not been able to resolve the stars in the Trapezium with the ES102. This version is completely new.

Integration of 10 x 10s, 5 x 120s, 8x 300s

scope: ES ED102 APO CF MoonLite w/auto focus! FR/FF: Stellarvue 0.8 FR/FF

Looking very nice, John. The framing is very similar to the data I collected on Tuesday, yours has a larger field of view. Well done on bringing out the dustiness.
