Just ordered a Lunt Crayford to put on my Adventure Scope 80mm. Still questioning the sanity of that since the scope was under $100. However, the Lunts are on sale for $70, so what the heck.

I put one on mine. Really seems to open the scope up. Especially when you stick a 2" diagonal in it. That little scope never ceases to amaze me with its performance.
Never, under any circumstances, consume a laxative and sleeping pill on the same night.

Lunt quoted me a delivery date of tomorrow, but the package arrived today. Double boxed with the focuser in foam rubber. Took less than 5 minutes to install on my ST80. But two questions (maybe these should go in the Beginners subforum) -
Why are there two set screws on the bottom of the focuser? One clearly locks down the coarse focus. Does the other lock the fine focus? I didn't want to torque them down and risk scoring or stripping anything. I have zero experience with anything but R&P and the "mirror mover" on my old C8.
Does this model rotate around the flange? There are several small hex screws around the focuser body next to the flange. They're pretty small so I was reluctant to screw around (get it?) with those. Thanks!
Oh, and a note: the 2 to 1.25 adapter from my ST120 does not work with this. The Orion adapter has an angled flange and the Lunt can't grip it tightly enough to keep the thing from flopping around. Luckily, I have a compression ring adapter with no angle on it and it screws down nice and snug.
