New scope ordered!

#1

Post by Mandrew »

I ordered a new WO Grand Tourismo 81mm in blue today from OPT. Back ordered but should be in in a few weeks! I wanted this for wide field astrophotography, so I needed a faster scope. I use my 7” Mak for planetary/lunar stuff. Ordered a ZWO ASI128 to go with it.
Devout bino lover and Lunaholic! Scopes - Celestron RASA 8, Orion 180mm Mak-Cass, 6"f8 dob, ST80. binos - Orion 7x50, Oberwerk 8x56 LW, Oberwerk 10x50 Deluxe, 15x70 Deluxe, Oberwerk 100mm ED Binocular telescope.

So that's why the weather's turned :D

btw, what camera do you use on the Mak - I'm looking for something on my Skymax 180. Astronomy tools suggests the ASI174 is a goodish match (unless you want to buy big!)
Just call me Geoff....

I do what I do because I can, and because I want to.
It doesn't mean I know what I'm doing

Congrats on the new gear. I'm close to pulling the trigger on the ZWO monochrome cam. Probably will buy it next week. That way if I use my achromatic 6" frac the CA will be invisible on stuff like the moon, at Bryan's suggestion.
