I love these scopes!! :)
I got it in its wooden case, complete, the plastic sleeves still on the tube for a measly $100 C in almost new condition. I had to drive 250 mi. and return to pick it up but it was a nice outing for my wife and I on a perfect sunny day. I didn’t really need it but I couldn’t see kids or an unfamiliar with scopes type person getting it and maybe destroying it. Someday I will just give it to the right fellow astronomer or sell it for what I paid. Unfortunately it is too big and heavy and cumbersome to ship thats why I had to go and get it, lol ! I might be wrong, but the logo on that Polaroscope looks like Royal Astro... If it is, it's probably got superb optics. Nice find! :D

Just playing with my 102 away from Grab & go, so on AVX it balances really easily (as compared to the 6SE).

I have to say Tony, that looks 1) really good, and 2) very solid! Nice combo! :D

All the best,
Mark

My humble submission:
IMGP5187 - Copy.JPG

Why, it's the world famous Borg 25mm f/7 achromatic doublet, of course!
As seen in the photo, focus is achieved via the cleverly designed sliding objective assembly, no need for complicated gears or knobs.
Add your own five-quarter-inch diagonal and any modern eyepiece then becomes your window to the heavens.
When stably situated, as here, on any robust alt-az mount, the entire sky becomes available to the dedicated enthusiast (did I say "dedicated"?).

Don't let another precious night slip by, order your very own Pocket Borg, today!
