Yes, it is interesting. I watched it through to the end and his reasoning is sound and his acknowledgement of possible problems at about 26 minutes in was reasonable and accurate. It's an interesting idea that needs more work. It was largely enjoyable to although I found the interruptions from advertisements from a right wing fake news outlet that operates as a mouthpiece for religious organization..... tedious to say the least.
He mentions a "Halo Drive" along the way which I think is a pretty silly, BTW, and not worthy of consideration. But this idea is pretty good and worth pursuing.

Yes, the ads do suck on YouTube. I miss the days of olde on YouTube. Some of the ads have ads there now.

I got curious and watched the halo drive video. It's not what I was thinking it was.

I'm not a fan of it. I don't like the Breakthrough Starshot concept nor do I like the Halo Drive. They only work in a perfect vacuum and space is not a perfect vacuum.

It will be interesting to see if something can come out of this. Quite an interesting concept.

pretty awesome concept but it just seems impractical much like that spinning mercury mirror that can only point up but then again china has that giant 500 meter radar dish that points up and it's colossal so there must be some pros over cons. i guess that's the question , is it worth doing it .

The Aricebo Observatory has been able to do some significant science while pointing straight up

Yes with Aricebo it's the receiver that is reflected on in the center moves right and there are several mercury telescopes in existence.
