I'd jump all over it but for a liquidity issue. :(

Glad someone will benefit. I'm still recovering from the move so I cannot. Enjoy! :)

Anyone else jumping on this deal? I just got email from Vic saying they offer $100 upgrade to carbon fiber tube on 102mm. The great deal got even better! However, after some consideration I decided to stick to aluminum.

Well, they run out of white tube 102mm stock in no time, but still have 102mm CF and 125mm on sale. They will also have a 25 unit white tube 102mm run in September and taking orders now.

Sounds like an interesting pick-up Andrey! Did you pull the trigger on the purchase?

I surely did! Used ones sells for $800 + shipping and they hard to come by, so when I saw $699 for the new I could not believe my luck. :D

If missus have not imposed scopes limit I would likely grab 125mm to.

I love the look of that 125. If I lived in the US I would be sorely tempted. It would fill a serious gap in my refractor collection! ;)

However the current exchange rate and the ridiculous postage charges from the US to Oz makes it nearly double its price and the finance department will definitely not approve... :(

I am working on a proper first light report, but should say that it is a thing of beauty! You know how for most of scopes you need to change, upgrade, adjust a thing or two? Not on this one - well designed, executed and adjusted right out of the box. :D

Thanks Dave and Jim! :D Yes, definitely a keeper. Stellarvue lists work capacity issues as the reason to discontinue Access line. After seeing one in person I feel that the real reason could be that people don't buy enough of their premier scopes because Access is already too good.

Congratulations Bigzmey, a fine looking refractor!
I hope you get many enjoyable years of views from it.
I have yet to find a Stellarvue I have not liked. :)

I've been dithering. I know... I know... he who hesitates is lost....

Nevertheless before my rather sudden retirement I had an SV 125ED Access on order which I prudently canceled. So it is hard for me to settle for the 102mm. I've resolved to sit the sale out and hopefully I'll be able to recover enough from the move to get a 125 before they disappear. So it's a race between availability of scopes and availability of funds. :| :|

I've developed a plan B in case things don't work out as I'd like. Plus there's a plan C too! Etc., etc. :sigh:
