For backpacking. All objects except the sun (I’m scared).
I could go up in price if it’s worth it.

Re: Is this a good one?
Yes. Excellent lunar views and good on compact DSOs . Might need a 0.5x focal reducer for larger DSOs . Also good for planets. I had one. A friend fell in love with it and I let him keep it.

The 102 Mak's are great little scopes. As nFA stated, great for lunar and planetary use. When I had the 102 it was first grab for lunar sessions.

Re: Is this a good one?
I really like my SkyWatcher 90mm Mak for lunar. I suspect that the Orions and SWs are made by the same company. They're nicely portable.
You might find the straight-through finder to be a pain in the neck. Right angle finders are relatively inexpensive if you decide to swap it out.

Re: Is this a good one?
Great scope!
I have the 90 (and the 127) it's very portable, and gives very sharp views.
The 102 would be a step up from my 90, it will not disappoint
