Going lighter

#1

Post by Ken_nneth »

Due to some back problems I decided to go lighter. Sold all med Celestron HD8 equipment and my ASI1600MM and replaced it with lighter scope and new camera. Got a TS-Optics 70 mm f/5 Quadruplet Flatfield Apo and the ASI294MM. The skies where I live are now moving towards “summer” mode, midnight sun and so on, so I have to wait a couple of months to try it. I’ll you use the time to get everything connected and tested, looking forward to first light. My setup is now:

TS-Optics 70 mm f/5 Quadruplet Flatfield Apo
ASI294MM Pro
iOptron CEM60,
QHY Polemaster,
ZWO OAG /
Lodestar X2,
Skywatcher Evoguide-50ED
ZWO 7 pos. 32mm filter wheel, Baader 32mm LRGB+Ha, Oiii, Sii filters

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the TS 70mm after some time in use.

I understand completely. I made a similar choice myself. The best telescope is the one that gets used. I can lift 35kg from the box. Putting it back without dropping it is much harder. :observer:
