Big Gun? Maybe not. :D :lol: But at 910mm focal length, my vintage C80 doublet is much more to wield for my HEQ5 mount, vs the 70mm triplet.

I have configured this rig with a Celestron f6.3 reducer to bring the focal ratio to ~ 7 -ish, and will try it out for visual and AP this week.

Here is the rig with the Mark Mk I finder/guider, sans camera. Despite myself I am quite excited to try this rig for deep space objects, eg, galaxies.

Accessories - Tetrad and GSO 2" focuser.

Very nice setup Ian, and nice pics - thanks for sharing!
Scopes: Reflectors, refractors, and 1 catadioptric. Ranging in aperture from 50mm to 150mm.
