You will need #2 and either #1 or #3
Here is a good guide to collimating (aligning) the mirrors for best views.

Ok, so I need these 2:
https://www.astroshop.eu/miscellaneous/ ...es /p,59655
https://www.astroshop.eu/collimation-ey ... 25-/p,3925
Now, the motor topic as Lady Fraktor mentioned could be useful, which would be the cheapest option from this list?
https://www.astroshop.eu/mountings-acce ... s/15_55_76
Or perhaps it should not be a priority for now?
(thank you all for the great help so far!!)

It's a convenience. But for using higher magnification on the moon and planets it will become a priority. If money is an issue it could wait a month or two while you get used to the other features. Collimation gear is a necessity.

Priority no, a nice addition once you get used to using your telescope mount.

Re: Beginner with 4 choices, pls help
Clear, ok. Was not expecting the motor to be so expensive...
Now finally, the 10mm eyepiece?
https://www.astroshop.eu/eyepieces/15_1 ... eite=10-15
Anyone of these is ok, or does it need to be Plossl?

Re: Beginner with 4 choices, pls help
No it does not need to be a Plossl but the Plossl eyepiece gives you good quality views for the money paid when starting out.
The Super Plossl listed here are quite good:

I'd just get decent Plossl eyepieces for a start. Get some experience before you get fancier and pricier.Lady Fraktor wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 8:13 pm No it does not need to be a Plossl but the Plossl eyepiece gives you good quality views for the money paid when starting out.

Anything missing? Filters or so?
Context: this is a birthday present (for myself) so I want to ensure I get a complete pack.

Re: Beginner with 4 choices, pls help
If it is still within budget include a 32mm Plossl.
This will be your low power/ searcher eyepiece to start with.
The basics are good, hold off with filters as good filters are expensive so avoid the dyed glass that most places sell in beginner kits.

This is the one.
The one from Bresser which would be compatible is not available right now.

Perhaps I order everything else and hold on for the motor for later...

Here is a good guide to collimating (aligning) the mirrors for best views.

For everything else, to actually know how and where to start doing what when I get the telescope, any good reading please?
Online or book.

The motors should be identical as they are both for a EQ -3??
The book Turn Left At Orion is a good one to start out with.

I will therefore split the order.
Now: telescope, alignment gear, travel bag (important for me!) and book.
Later: 10mm, 32mm, motor
Sounds good? Thanks a lot!

Re: Beginner with 4 choices, pls help
How much magnification can he get with a 10mm eyepiece? 650mm divided by 10mm = 65 magnification. I would not be happy with that amount of magnification on the moon and planets. I need at least 100 magnification. With the 90/900mm focal length refractor I know he go as high as 150 magnification on a average weather day. I can go that high with my 70/900 Vixen refractor. With the 650mm focal length mirror reflector how high could he push the magnification? The OP primary interest is the moon and planets, which require high magnification. Do you think he could get at least 130 magnification barlowing the 10mm? It seems that his mind is set on the 130/650, but I do not want the OP to be disappointed.
