the image it gives is incredibly crisp and sharp as can be. right up to the diffraction limit of the lens (10mm seems to be about ideal to take full advantage of F3.5 to F5.6 range) if the lens is faster/bigger
You can use something like a binocular-holder to attach it to a tripod. or something. if you have a lens to 1/4 holder adapter that would also work.
This works great with zoom lenses. giving you excellent magnification ranges. even better with parfocal zoom lenses.
All I did was make a hole in an lens rear dust cover for the eyepiece to slip through. superglue a 1.25 eyepiece holder ring to it. and screw it onto the lens and slot the eyepiece in. and it just works
the only one I can find costs over 150$ on amazon. and you cant interchange the eyepiece either.
This could be made for so cheap. a few bucks!
