I brought the scope over to my parents’ house since they are 2 levels darker than my place. We are having a star party with friends in two weeks so this was a shake down session. I will soon be adding a ServoCAT to my Obsession and I look forward to the tracking.

Patrick’s December Reports
I had a short session last night. I did nail a new Messier last night, M29. It was a nice open cluster. The Pleiades are always worth a look so I panned over to them and as always they were enjoyable.

Thanks! All things considered it was an enjoyable but short observing section. I did enjoy the darker sky than at my house.

Re: Patrick’s December Reports
It's funny how much darker it is only 45 minutes away at my parents' house. One couple who is coming over is very familiar with the scope under dark skies but the other couple and their daughter have not experienced even looking through the scope so they'll be in for a treat. It'll be a fun night. Hopefully, the weather holds...
