Perseids

#1

Post by Bigzmey »

There is a nice article in Sky & Telescope on observing Perseids this year. The author argues that we should not skip it because of the bright Moon since there should be still quite few meteors visible.

Certainly not going to skip it as long as the weather allows (looking good so far for the evening of the 12th and morning of the 13th (not so good after that...) The Moon is actually going to be quite low down anyway so may not affect the sky quite so much as if it would high up.

I actually caught 2 (one quite bright) on Monday night's session!
