Hi all. Here is the latest report from Starry Night Software and Chris Vaughan, at Space.com. It provides information on several interesting observing opportunities throughout the month of May. Here are just a few: Monday, May 2 - Young Moon near Mercury (after dusk), Monday, May 2 - Young Moon near Mercury (after dusk), Wednesday, May 4 - Moon Meets Messier 35 (evening), Friday, May 6 - Eta-Aquariids Meteor Shower Peak (pre-dawn), Saturday, May 7 - Bright Moon Buzzes the Beehive (evening), Wednesday, May 11 - Major Mare Imbrium (evening), Sunday, May 15 - Deep Total Lunar Eclipse (03:29 to 04:53 GMT on May 16), Monday, May 16 - Full Milk Blood Moon (at 04:14 GMT), Wednesday, May 18 - Mars Passes Neptune (pre-dawn), Wednesday, May 25 - Crescent Moon near Jupiter and Mars (pre-dawn), Sunday, May 29 - Mars Passes Jupiter (pre-dawn), and much more.
