Went out and attempted to look at M1, the Crab Nebula. I aligned the scope, and went to M42, the Orion Nebula, as a test. It worked, so I went to M1. It wasnt there. I tried again. Not there.

I was like, "WHERE IS THE CRAB NEBULA!?!?!?!?"

Then, I loaded up the car and went home disappointed. Then I thought, "What if I raise the exposure of the photos I took?" I used my phones editing software and increased exposure to 100. Then, it popped out. Its faint, but its there.

I guess it was there after all! One more for the Messier Challenge!

Going out again at 3:00 AM to try to see Comet Leonard.

That's great! Can you manually adjust your exposure next time? Maybe double or triple it.

Exposure is already adjusted to the maximum. However, I was able to adjust other settings, and it became more clear.

I like those "non-AP" photos, that, instead of the target, shows what's there in the eyepiece.
They, really, have their place too.

Yeah, I only adjust photos like this when it’s necessary. I prefer to see what they really look like through the eyepiece, unedited. However, if I can’t see them, I need to adjust them in order to see them.
