So, in case anyone is wondering, yes, I did miss the Lunar eclipse due to a rain storm that suddenly rolled in. That made me depressed because I was really looking forward to it.

However, on the drive home from the store today, I saw the full, non eclipsed moon. It was beautiful. It made me realize that the moon is a beautiful object to view, whether it’s eclipsed or not.

True, an eclipse makes it more amazing, but even without an eclipse, it’s still beautiful. It made me less depressed looking at it.

So, to sum it up. I missed the eclipse, but that’s okay. We are in a drought situation anyway, so I’ll take the rain over the eclipse.

Hi Jared. I have the same problem here. I was counting on viewing the the lunar eclipse too but missed it because of our weather and skies here. I appreciate your persistence and you came away with a very nice lunar image later. And I know that this is not easy, as the high brightness tends to bloom out some surface details.
