Date: 11/13/2021
Time: 10:00 PM
Telescope: 80mm refractor, 900mm focal length.
Eyepiece: 25mm zoom
Objects viewed: 1
Photos taken: 1
Camera: Iphone 11 (Nightcap app.)
Location: Dietrich, Idaho

Went out before going to bed to see if the Orion constellation was up. Sure enough, it was right there in front of me! I got out my telescope, aligned it, and went to the Orion Nebula at maximum exposure.

This was the result, WITH a half moon high in the sky. I was SHOCKED.

That circular thing to the right of the nebula is a smudge. I need to clean that.

Its official, this phone app, (Nightcap,) is a GREAT astrophotography app! I recommend it to anyone who has an Iphone and wants to try dso imaging. Even WITH a half moon in the sky and light pollution from the moon, the image turned out great. So great, I had to lower exposure later on during the session.

Anyway, That was my session. Hope you enjoyed the image.
