We bought a new house and moved to a new location under darker skies. It's still in a neighborhood but all homes are on one acre lots with no street lights, and very few neighbor lights! I took the SV110ED out for a spin tonight...first observing session since moving. While seeing was less than average, I got some great views of several double stars (Epsilon Lyrae and Albireo) and some globular's (M13, M22, and M92)....as well as Venus, Jupiter and Saturn.
It was great seeing the MW and lots of background stars from my backyard!
Just a short run with nothing special, but the first of many!!

The last time I saw the MW was on a visit to my mother's farn in southeastern Alabama, just outside of the Conecuh National Forest.
