Hello everyone ,
I explain to you .
recently I had surgery on my right eye for a cataract.
not exactly pleasant, but oh how the result is.

after the healing I decided to watch Jupiter.
10-09-2021
telescope uses,
60mm televue
evostar 120mm.
eyepieces,
delos 4.5 mm 6 mm 10 mm.

before the surgery, I thought I saw Jupiter and Saturn very well (nope)
on Jupiter I could see the bands in black and gray very well with a yellow background.
now , my god this is Jupiter?
I can see the different bands very well with the color as a bonus.
I can see the festoons, the white ovals and the poles very well.
in the bands (ntb)
red mixed with brown gives me immeasurable joy.
the difference is striking and much sharper and more defined.
I have not yet had the chance to see a transit or the grs but I am ready now.
next stop, saturn.

Hi Jean Yves. This is good news indeed. I had both of my eyes done about 3 years ago as everything distant was blurry. Now, things are clear, brighter, and colors are more vibrant. It was the best thing that I ever did and it is like having "new" eyes again. I am glad that you had a great observing session with Jupiter and now Saturn and M42 are coming up next. Thanks for your fine report Jean Yves and congratulations on receiving the TSS VROD Award today.

I'm going in on Monday for eye one. So this month is pretty much filled with doctor visits and eye patches. Looking forward to similar results!!
