Date: 9/15/2021
Date of session: 9/14/2021
Time of Session: 8:30 PM
Objects viewed: 5
Telescope: 80mm Refractor 900mm Focal Length
Camera: Iphone11 Nightcap app.
Eyepiece: 7-25mm Zoom

Went out last night because the skies were FINALLY clear of smoke here in Idaho. I viewed M13 (no picture,) Jupiter (no picture,) Saturn, M2 Globular Cluster, and M52 Open Cluster.

Then, my battery pack broke, and I had to stop. I am repairing the battery pack today.

Fun session, except for the battery pack!

No offense, but I think there’s a mistake. On the front page, I am not shown as the VROD winner. Is this award for tomorrow? I’m a little confused.

Anyway, I did not get a picture of Jupiter because my app is not suitable for planetary photography. Jupiter was too bright.

It was actually very, very difficult to get that picture of Saturn. Took me a good 30 minutes to get it into focus and get it set up perfectly.

Thanks for the award,

Jared

Thanks for pointing that out. Actually I went through the normal process of posting onto the Portal but it looks like the update was not saved. Will circle back and fix it.

I do like those "as-is" pictures. I think the picture of Saturn is well worth the effort - and VROD.
So congrats!
