First was NGC6633 in Oph. This is a cool little cluster. There's a moderately bright field star next to a bent rectanglar clump of fainter stars. The cluster shape reminded me of a glider-type parachute that people zip left and right with, pull spirals, etc. Since I started before twilight ended, it was fun to watch fainter cluster members appear as it got darker.
A couple degrees south and east of 6633 is IC4756. The similarity to 6633 was striking - another brighter field star in the
Slewed over to IC4665, close to Beta Oph. Comparatively speaking, this one's a monster. Moderately bright stars filled the
No session is complete without checking my favorite variable U Sge. Actually, it's my only variable, but what the heck. With Sagitta higher in the sky earlier in the evening, it's become easier to identify U in the

By that time, it was 2315 and I still have to get up for work, so I decided to hang it up. Sky is p. cloudy now and rain is supposedly coming, so that might be it for a few days.
