Although the outing was short it was amazing! My old house is in a
I still need to get a thesaurus to expand my vocabulary when describing galaxies. I tend overuse 'smudge' and 'blob'.
Tiny smudge at about a 60 degree angle. Really small and faint in the 24mm. Still appears as a small smudge in the 10mm.
Another dim view. Sitting at a sort of 10 degree angle in my view. Averted vision is needed to get a better glimpse.
The Cocoon Galaxy. The typical slight smudge. Sitting at a 110 degree angle roughly. I noticed a small, more faint smudge just above it in the
Extremely tiny view even in the 10mm. Roughly sitting at a 45 degree angle. Not very big

Very faint but completely obvious. Averted vision expands the area I can make out. Looks amazing sitting in the same view as M65 and

Looks great in the 3 galaxy view in the
NGC3628 (NEW) – 22:11
Very, very faint. Difficult to see much but averted vision really helps bring it into view a little more.
M64 – 22:21
The Blackeye Galaxy . The 10mm shows a small, bright blob. Averted vision reveals slightly better resolution
It felt so good to be out under the stars again. I almost forgot how relaxing yet exciting it can be.
