Epsilon Draconis (Tyl) and Epsilon Bootis (Izar)

#1

Post by John Fitzgerald »

I tried Eps Dra (Tyl) the evening of May 28 with my 6 inch f/8 apo. Split at 135x, easy at 152x. Tyl is easier than Epsilon Boo (Izar). Izar took 152x to separate, and 173x to do it clearly. Izar seems much more seeing dependent than Tyl. Seeing was 5 to 6 of 10, with moments of clarity.

Please let us know your results on these doubles.
