It provides information on several interesting observing opportunities throughout the month of May, Monday, May 3 — Third quarter moon (1950 GMT), Wednesday, May 5 — May is the month of Mercury (after sunset), Friday, May 7 — The Virgo Cluster of galaxies (all night), Wednesday, May 12 — Crescent moon kisses Venus (after sunset), Saturday, May 15 — Crescent moon and Mars (evening), Tuesday, May 18 — "Lunar X" in twilight (peaks at 9 p.m. EDT), Sunday, May 23 — Double shadow transit on Jupiter (1517-1619 GMT), Wednesday, May 26 — Total lunar eclipse (1111-1126 GMT), and more. Thanks Marshall! You know, if it wasn't for you doing this; I'd miss out on a lot. I check out spaceweather.com every day for the Sun; not sure why I have this mental block for space.com, especially at the beginning of the month... I'm hoping to catch the lunar X on the 18th; I've seen/photographed the V, but never the X.
