Three of us from Culpeper took advantage of relatively clear skies to check out the Lyrid meteor shower. The peak is forecast for tomorrow predawn, but weather forecast was iffy.
We observed 22 meteors, 15 of which were Lyrids, from 0130 hrs to 0530 hrs. Some were Vega magnitude, but none of special significance.
It was good to get out under the night skies...it's been awhile.
