Two doubles in Canis Major

I observed these two tonight (2/23/2021) with my 6" f/8 apo:

Mu CMa (STF 997) - mags 5.3, 7.7, Sep 2.9" at PA 343 deg. Well seen with a 7mm TV Delite at 173x.

Pi CMa - mags 4.7, 9.6, Sep 11.6" at PA 13 deg. Used a 8mm TV Radian for 152x. When observing faint companions in bright moonlight, it helps to use extra magnification to darken the sky a bit.
Double and multiple star observer. Over 3,500 unique pairs logged.

No good deed goes unpunished.

Have you split Sirius? I've done it once but it was very hard. I've never photographed them, though.

Hunting the Pup is frustrating. If the seeing is not good enough, no matter what scope or skills do you have. I have tried so many times but have managed the split only once with 8" SCT and only by blocking Sirius A with EP's field stop.

I have the ES 152 CF tube triplet. It's on a G11S on a steel pier fastened to a concrete stub.
