So, elsewhere I mention trying to image Mars & finding out I had a collimating issue.

Well, below the before and after: :Astronomer1:

This was with a 2 x Barlow. The one below is from last night without the Barlow but correctly collimated.

Tonight the Barlow goes on and I am targeting Jupiter, Saturn & later Mars.

Clear skies make this hobby more rewarding :lol: Oh, and after having to use WD 40 to free up my collimation screws (in the dark), Bob’s Knobs are on the way from FLO!

Tony, even your first one is better than anything I've ever gotten, nice! The second one looks great, but I can't see it on your Flickr page as it's private.. :(

H/A - PST stage 2 mod with a Baader 90mm ERF on a Celestron XLT 102 (thanks Mike!)
Ca-K - W/O 61mm, Antares 1.6 barlow, Baader 3.8 OD and Ca-K filters with a ZWO ASI174mm.
W/L - C80-HD with Baader 5.0 & 3.8 Solar film, Solar Continuum 7.5nm and UV/IR filters with a Canon EOS 550D.
