So Many Stars

Observed Pleiades around 4:30am for the first time this year. Best Observed with my Oberwerk LW 11x70 binoculars. It was very nice.

Awesome, RD! Congrats on seeing Pleiades this year. I had an enjoyable time seeing Venus and Pleiades when they were conjoined a few months back (March, I believe?) That was pretty neat.

I always much prefer to view the Pleiades with binoculars rather than with a scope. The views are so different between a scope and binoculars although at times I have observed them with both

Last time I observed the Pleiades was also with binoculars - at the RTMC 2019 Star Party last year in September (now defunct). Only brought a 8 x 35 binocular to that event. Discovered the joys of binocular observing for the first time there.

Hi Refractordude. You have a great observing report here. M45 (the Pleiades or the 7 Sisters) and M13 (the Great Globular Cluster) are my two favorite Messier objects. I am glad that you had an enjoyable time with the Oberwerk binoculars. Thanks for your report Refractordude, and keep looking up.
