nFA observing reports July 3-7

I'm not going to report anything specific. With the grab and go setup, (the VMC110L + StarSeekerIII) we've had a string of clear nights above average transparency and seeing average at worst. With the pseudo Masuyama eyepieces (aka super Plossls, aka Astroplans) I've been cycling through the objects on my last report with the TS102mm ED f11 and the Moon.

Suffice it to say that the DSOs show better in the refractor and the Moon is always lovely.

I just don't have time for a proper report. Sorry. I'm having too much fun. My only disappointment is I tucker out before having a crack at the comet (NEOWISE).

The neighborhood dogs (or their owners) have adapted. Nary a bark.

I'm planning on trotting out the VMC200L and will report on that at my usual level of detail as weather permits.

That should be an enjoyable evening, always good when your having to much fun viewing to be bothered keeping track of things

I am hoping I will get some relaxation time to test out the Bresser as I only had it out once in two months now and that was only for around 15 minutes.
More to check that the mount and telescope survived transport.

Nice observing and glad that you got the opportunity to get out and enjoy!

It would be great to catch a glimpse of NEOWISE, but it is far too low at my location. If I get a clear night, I doubt that I’ll be leaving. I’ll be out in my imaging domain (backyard).

It is fun, isn't it, nFA? Maybe some day you'll be able to catch the comet - it is supposed to be in the evening skies soon enough, but could start dimming at that point.

Good to hear you’re out having fun nFA! I always keep a written log of my sessions along with a recorded log using my little Sony digital recorder. I’m still working so finding the time to post on the forum is difficult for me.
