Skies have been clear for a few nights (Say what?!!???) so I've been playing with my new Orion 15x70s. Took some looks at:

Orion's sword and belt
Hyades
Pleiades
Mars and the Pleiades
Beehive
Random scanning in Sco and Cygnus
M26 open cluster in Scutum. Not 100% sure about the id though. I was randomly scanning around Scut and Oph when I ran across it and there are a lot of OCs in that region.

Planning on going to a club dark site tonight or tomorrow to try them out under less LP. The access road might be too wet and / or muddy though so I might have to settle for pulling off to the side of the main road and taking a quick look.

The weather is breaking our way here it seems, Pakarinen.
I stepped out for a few looks with my binoculars last night as well.
Good show !
SCOPES :ES127 f7.5, SW100 f9 Evostar, ES80 F6, LXD75 8" f10 SCT, 2120 10" f10 SCT, ES152 f6.5.
MOUNTS: SW AZ/EQ5, MEADE LXD75, CELESTRON CG4, Farpoint Parallelogram.
BINOCULARS: CL 10X30, Pentax 8X43, 25X100 Oberwerks.
EP: Many.

Those are perfect bino targets. Orion and Sco? Was that an all-nighter session? :)

Noooooooooooo. I stepped out for a bit before bed and then went back out again at my usual 0400 wake-up time.

I'm struggling a bit with tonight's plan. I want to drive out to a dark site, but probably won't get back until late, so that'll put a zap on any early AM observing tomorrow.

I would take one session at a dark site over two sessions at not so dark. :)

Nice Bino session!
Looks like a bit like my binosessions.
With the same sort of shortlists I do my grab&go sessions too.
Refractors in frequency of use : *SW Evostar 120ED F/7.5 (all round ), * Vixen 102ED F/9 (vintage), both on Vixen GPDX.
GrabnGo on Alt/AZ : *SW Startravel 102 F/5 refractor( widefield, Sun, push-to), *OMC140 Maksutov F/14.3 ( planets).
Most used Eyepieces: *Panoptic 24, *Morpheus 14, *Leica ASPH zoom, *Zeiss barlow, *Pentax XO5.
Commonly used bino's : *Jena 10X50 , * Canon 10X30 IS, *Swarovski Habicht 7X42, * Celestron 15X70, *Kasai 2.3X40
